MRG Offices Closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The third Monday in January is recognized as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This federal holiday is celebrated around the time of King’s birthday, January 15th. Dr. King believed in a nation of freedom and justice for all. As a pivotal figure in the Civil Rights Movement, he encouraged the principles of non-violence and focused on fighting poverty to make this country a better place to live.

Even though many businesses, including MRG Apartment Communities, do not work on this day, it is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service – a “day on, not a day off.” This day is a perfect opportunity for Americans to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service. Dr. King empowered individuals, bridged barriers and strengthened communities. The day calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to not only honor him, but also be inspired to do good for others.

Check out the events being held at the Civil Rights Museum on January 21st to commemorate King, who would have been 90 years old this year.

MRG Apartment Communities will be closed Monday, January 21st for MLK Day and will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, January 22nd.
