Happy Presidents' Day!

The third Monday in February was once set aside to honor our first president, George Washington, but has since been designated as the day to honor all U.S. presidents. Here's a little presidential trivia:

• The first "unofficial" observance of President's Day was in 1800, the year after George Washington died. It was many years later that it became a federal holiday.
• There have been 44 people sworn into office, and 45 presidencies: Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms.
• The most common religious affiliation among presidents has been Episcopalian, followed by Presbyterian.
• Barack Obama was not only the first African American president but also the first born outside the continental United States. He was born in Hawaii.
• Five presidents lost the popular vote but still won the presidency, the most recent of which was Donald Trump.
