The Sharpe Planetarium is a fantastic place for any amateur astronomers or astrophysicists.

Memphis offers some great museums and science centers, including the Pink Palace Museum and the Sharpe Planetarium.  These museums teach the history, science, and technology of the mid-South.

The Pink Palace Museum is a large museum that teaches the history, science, and technology of the mid-South.  Run by the City of Memphis Parks and Neighborhoods Division and Memphis Museum Inc., the Pink Palace Museum boasts a display of Piggly Wiggly, one of the first self service grocery stores in the country. It features changing exhibits of history, science, and nature monthly.

Grab a seat at the Sharpe Planetarium, where an immense dome is filled up by the more immense stars and planets of the night sky. This is a fantastic facility for any amateur astronomers or astrophysicists, or simply anyone who loves stargazing.
