A great way to save some money and help the environment is to conserve water. There are little things you can do everyday that will save gallons of water, which in turn will save you money. Here are a few tips for conserving water:
- Check for leaks– Check for hidden leaks and have them repaired immediately. If your faucet drips once per second, you could be wasting up to 2,700 gallons of water a year.
- Take shorter showers- By getting out of the shower just a few minutes earlier, you can save a lot of water. Another good options is to install an ultra low-flow version shower head. Also, don’t let the water run while you are shaving or brushing your teeth.
- Dishwashers and washing machines– Only wash your dirty dishes and do your laundry when you have a full load. This will keep you from using more water on multiple washes.
