Apartment-friendly Exercise

October 16, 2012

We all can come up with a long list of reasons not to exercise. We don’t have time. We don’t want to pay for a gym membership. We are too tired. We don’t have the right outfit…

A set of dumbbells boosts strength training.

One of the best ways to get into a regular exercise routine is to find something you can do at home, right in your apartment. You don’t need a lot of fancy equipment or a lot of space. Many strength-training exercises can be done with a set of dumbbells or simply using your body weight for resistance rather than requiring pricey gym equipment. And how much room is required for jumping jacks? (Just be sure not to disturb any downstairs neighbors.)

Here are some great exercise tips from LiveStrong.com that include both cardio and strength training, along with ideas for how you can accomplish these with little or no investment. Don’t let living in an apartment be your excuse for not exercising!
