Pets in Apartments: Time to Take Fido for a Walk.

Fido is ready for a walk!

When the weather gets cold, it’s easy to keep your best four-legged friend cooped up in your apartment instead of taking him or her out for regular walks.  But  maintaining a regular exercise schedule for Fido is just as important in the winter as it is in the warmer months.  Consider some of these options for a little variety:

1) Give your pup a day of fun at a doggy daycare facility. Here’s a nice list to consider.

2) Visit an off-leash dog park.

3) Is your pooch still a little “ruff” around the edges? Consider a few obedience classes for a little exercise and the lasting benefits of a better behaved dog.

4) Play tug-of-war for an easy in-apartment round of exercise. Just be sure to clear a small space so that nothing gets damaged!
