Great soil, great container garden!

Container gardens are a great solution for apartment dwellers with green thumbs.  It all starts with the dirt.  If you are thinking about starting a container garden, the folks at HGTV.com suggest that you use good potting soil and even share these three recipes for mixing your own:

Mix #1
2 parts peat: 1 part perlite: 1 part builder’s sand

Mix #2
2 parts peat: 1 part builder’s sand

Mix #3
1 part peat: 1 part builder’s sand: 1 part pine-bark mulch

So now that you have the dirt on container gardens, get planting!
