November 11, 2017
The first Veterans Day occurred on November 11, 1919 to recognize veterans who served in World War I – known at the time as “The Great War.” WWI officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919. Fighting actually ceased seven months earlier when an armistice between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Today, Veterans Day honors American veterans of all wars.
MRG thanks all of those who are serving and have served our country.
